Swim Team

The Annual Potato Blossom Festival will host a swim meet on Monday, July 11th at the Fort Fairfield outdoor pool. Meet will start at 9:00 a.m. This meet is for anyone 18 and under who can swim the length of the pool unassisted. Sign up during registration to choose the events. Transportation will not be provided. There is no fee for this meet. Parent/Child: 6 months to 3 years old

Ages 3–5

PRE 1: Child is fearful of the water/doesn’t get face wet.
PRE 2: Comfortable in water/non-swimming.
PRE 3: Child is swimming/comfortable in water.

Ages 6–12

Learn To Swim 1: Child is fearful of the water/doesn’t get face wet.
Learn To Swim 2: Comfortable in water/non-swimming.
Learn To Swim 3-4: Able to swim width of the pool on front/back and can float.
Learn To Swim 5-6: Basic knowledge of all strokes, working on improvement and endurance.

Swimming lessons will begin on June 27 and end on August 6 . The cost for this program is $25.00.

Swimming lessons at Gentile Hall focus on the basics of swimming and safety in and around the water. Lessons for children 6 months to 5 years old are 25 minutes long while lessons for 6 to 12 year olds are 50 minutes.
